Ahead of the Avengers: Infinity War release, EW has released 15 new cover photos for the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe film, and they’re really great. The covers feature over 22 different Marvel characters, and give us an updated look at Iron Man’s new armor, though a lot of promotional artwork has essentially prepared us for that. It’s something all fans of the film universe will be excited to see, and we have them all for you down below: Check out the all-new @EW covers for #Avengers #InfinityWar. As we’ve seen countless times, sometimes the internet can say someone is dead – when they aren’t actually dead. Death hoaxes aren’t anything new, but this one involves someone very interesting. Superman. It’s interesting because Superman actually came back to life in Justice League, so for him to die again, would be devastating. In all seriousness, this doesn’t seem like a legitimate death hoax, and more along the lines of an error by Google, which said that Henry Cavill was dead: When you learn that you died 2 days ago…. A post shared by Henry Cavill (@henrycavill) on Mar 5, 2018…
Death Wish is a movie that was never going to get good reviews in this current political climate. Many people took issue with the fact that the film’s main star, Bruce Willis, was just a vigilante going around Chicago with a hood over his head executing people. Most people who have said these things never actually planned on watching the movie, and most likely just said them to get some attention. Putting all of that aside, it’s not like Death Wish was ever trying to win Oscars. Or even be a great action movie. Because it isn’t. It’s a movie…
Justice League was a film that obviously had the problem of dealing with two different tones because of two different directors. Zack Snyder and Joss Whedon are two very different filmmakers, and Warner Bros. thought it could be a good idea to combine the tones together after Snyder left due to a family tragedy before filming was complete. Add that in with some studio meddling, and you get one very incomplete movie. At Wizard World Cleveland, we were able to get the thoughts of two of the film’s main stars, Ray Fisher and Ezra Miller, on what it was like…
Death Wish, the upcoming remake of the 1974 classic, which was directed by Eli Roth and stars Bruce Willis, already pissed certain people off when the trailer for the film was released last year. People suggested the movie was in poor taste, and the release was delayed due to the Stephen Paddock shooting. Some even suggested it was racist and fascist. Fast forward to now, and we know that there was a tragic shooting in Florida very recently. Apparently though, movies can’t be separate from reality in the case of this specific movie, and reviewers are being very political in…
Many Marvel fans had May 4th marked on their calendar for Avengers: Infinity War, but now – the Marvel Cinematic Universe movie has been given an earlier release date! Marvel has revealed that the film will be released on April 27th! Marvel Studios’ @Avengers: #InfinityWar in theaters everywhere April 27th! pic.twitter.com/29fkuNjT1W — Marvel Entertainment (@Marvel) March 1, 2018 It’s an interesting move, but not one I see many (if any) fans complaining about – but then again, it is the internet we’re talking about here. So you never know. Either way, we know you’ll all be in the theater when…
When it comes to the Oscars, it’s no secret that some of the Academy voters are snobs. Just look back at any of the past winners and nominees, and you can see this (Julia Roberts for Erin Brockovich over Ellen Burstyn in Requiem For A Dream?!). It happens a lot of times with indie films, and now, Get Out is apparently the latest victim of that annoying trend. According to a recent report from Vulture, some Academy voters aren’t even watching the Jordan Peele film and dismissing it before even giving it a chance. One new voter who remained anonymous,…
Some very random Wonder Woman 2 news came out yesterday, in that Kristen Wiig is currently in talks to play Cheetah, AKA the villain in the upcoming DCEU film. Many people, including myself, immediately thought: WTF? But, personally, I like to give these things a chance before making any type of comment. Say what you want about DC Films, but they’ve actually been pretty great when it comes to casting. Quick Kristen Wiig Cheetah today for some fun #WonderWoman2 @WonderWomanFilm @PattyJenks @GalGadot pic.twitter.com/wqVKyjamc2 — BossLogic (@Bosslogic) March 1, 2018 The majority of the internet, however, isn’t as forgiving. Imagine that you’re a diver, and you’re going about your business and suddenly – you see Jason Voorhees. That’s exactly the idea that Curtis Lahr had in mind when he put a Jason Voorhees statue underwater at a popular diving site in Crosby, Minnesota. The original video was uploaded back in 2014, but there’s now an update – of which you can view both below. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jdIrgkcnIrw&feature=youtu.be https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k_Q4r9cukzg&feature=youtu.be It’s definitely pretty weird, and would be terrifying to come across if you were a diver. As for the future of Friday the 13th and Jason Voorhees, a reboot keeps getting talked about -…
Marvel’s Jessica Jones Season 2 hits Netflix tomorrow, but some early reviews are already here. While they aren’t as good as they were for Season 1, the show still has a positive rating on Rotten Tomatoes, and currently sits at 80% at the time of writing this article. The first season had a 92% for comparison. The Good IndieWire: Season 2’s all-female directing staff keeps the show’s noir bent in place though doesn’t push too hard into the realm of art – but the clean approach works, as does Ritter’s always grounded and believable performance. SFX Magazine: Nothing about season…
