Following on from our previous list about the 10 biggest heroes that Marvel have yet to adapt for our screens, we’ve also gone and done a list of the 10 biggest villains we haven’t seen too. Because, after all, we wouldn’t want to be accused of bias. Of course, Marvel haven’t had the greatest track-record when it comes to bringing their Villainous characters into the MCU. Despite their best efforts, and a whole host of popular bad guys being lifted from the pages of the comic books and parachuted in their movies, they still find themselves relying heavily time and…

This year marks Chris Evans’s sixth in the role of Captain America, and the internet rumor mill would have you believe that he won’t be doing it for that much longer. Prior to that, film buffs will of course remember that he spent three years playing The Human Torch. But what the majority of people tend to forget is that Evans is no shining example of brand loyalty, and managed an additional two non-Marvel comic outings during the same period. Shockingly, one of these was for arch-rivals DC, in 2010’s ‘The Losers’ where he played the nerdy Jensen. But it’s…

Last week’s announcement that Marvel had finally found an actor to portray the first ever live-action version of Cable did not go down as well as the company had hoped. Ever since THAT post-credits scene in ‘Deadpool’, the internet had been absolutely saturated with speculation about who would end up playing the time-travelling warrior, with a wide range of names rumoured to be in contention. Kevin Nash. Michael Shannon. Pierce Brosnan. Kiera Knightley… So when the company finally revealed that in fact it was in fact Josh Brolin who had bagged the role, the online buzz stopped. A little too…

Following the arrival of Jon Bernthal’s version of The Punisher in the MCU last year, the character has been enjoying somewhat of a resurgence of late. In previous outings, critics and audiences alike had been left somewhat cold by the dead-eyed stare and ultra-violent methods that Marvel’s most notorious vigilante used in order to wage his never-ending war on crime. Bernthal, however, took what some had previously seen as a two-dimensional and sketchy avatar to whole new levels of pain and heartbreak, finally capturing the sorrowful essence of what it meant to portray the true Frank Castle. With the Punisher’s…

Due to debut at an unannounced point later this year, the Punisher solo TV series has been kept shrouded in a level of secrecy that Marvel fans have come to expect from the company’s collaborations with Netflix. But this is the 21st Century, and the fact that everybody in New York City carries a smartphone and a love of money has forced the company to drip-feed details about the project online as their strict set security protocols have been repeatedly breached by the eagle-eyed populace of The Big Apple. Principal photography on the show has been taking place in and…

All in all, its shaping up to be a busy old year for the Netflix/Marvel collaboration. Not only are they having to pick over the wreckage from the critical drubbing that ‘Iron Fist’ Season 1 just received, but they also still have two more debut seasons for new shows associated with the project remaining to premiere. It was revealed back in March that filming had now wrapped on Season 1 of ‘The Defenders’, and today a teaser trailer has appeared online suggesting that that series will be appearing on our screens on August 18th. As of yet, there’s no date…

It’s fair to say that Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg’s televisual imagining of ‘Preacher’ was a roaring success. A love-letter to the original comics created by Garth Ennis and the late Steve Dillon, it was packed with gallows humor, hauntingly memorable visuals and special effects. Oh, and Violence. Lots of graphic, brutal violence…. Unsurprisingly, a second series was quickly commissioned off the back of the critical praise for last year’s debut episodes, and the trailer for the new season has now landed online. The new footage establishes that the show has lost absolutely none of the irreverent tone that made…

After nine years, multiple franchises and god-knows how many TV and movie projects, Marvel have already managed to bring the majority of their properties onto our screens in some format. In fact, the sheer volume of characters they’ve chosen to lift from the pages of their comics would lead you to think that they haven’t got many left that they haven’t adapted. Well, you’d be wrong in thinking that. Because as sure as night meets day, Marvel will never run dry when it comes to finding new source material to work off. There’s just so goddamn much of it to…

It sure is a great time to be a Punisher fan. Frank Castle’s long-awaited solo series will finally be debuting on Netflix towards the end of 2017, and the drip-feed of teasers and reveals is slowly starting to increase in speed and size. For the time being, the main source of information about the project is coming courtesy of Getty Images, who appear to have saturated New York with hidden photographers in the hopes of catching new Punisher set exclusives. Last week they broke the news that Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio had joined the cast as a potential antagonist, and this…

Cast your mind back to the summer of 2000. Can you remember seeing Hugh Jackman unleash those claws as Logan for the first time? When he sliced that shotgun in two?
