Having had his face used to mop up a window pane full of broken glass at the end of The Punisher’s first season, Ben Barnes’s sadistic killer Billy Russo has now naturally been set up as the main villain for series two. Russo won’t be Frank Castle’s only opponent this time round though, with Corbin Bernsen joining the show as sinister businessman Anderson Schultz, and Josh Stewart playing another bad guy by the name of John Pilgrim. As neither character appears in the comics, so far we’ve had little to go on in terms of understanding their motivations, but this…

Much like its Predator and Terminator cousins, recent times have been far from plain sailing for the Alien film franchise. With both Prometheus and Covenant having failed to inspire much positivity from either critics or audiences, it’s been looking increasingly likely that we wouldn’t be seeing new offerings from the 40 year iconic movie series any time soon. But a number of posts on the franchise’s official Instagram account this week seem to be suggesting that Aliens fans may well be in for an unexpected treat of some kind in 2019. Despite going to near-superhuman lengths to directly reference and…

As the working relationship between Marvel and Netflix has stuttered to a short and brutal conclusion, the future of the Defenders sub-franchise has become a subject of widespread speculation. With nobody other than Netflix themselves having wanted the shows to end, it seemed assured that Matt Murdock and his friends would simply transition across to Disney’s upcoming streaming service. A series of widely reported obstacles to that happening have instead thrown the future of the Netflix shows into doubt, but comments made by one Disney Executive this week may provide some timely festive cheer for fans. Kevin Mayer, the incoming…

A couple of weeks back, some Marvel artwork leaked online which seemed to suggest that the Avengers who had been lucky enough to survive the closing stages of Avengers: Infinity War would be sporting shiny and identical new uniforms for their next outing in Avengers 4. Pretty much all of the team have already undergone some fairly radical altercations to their costumes and appearance during the events of the last decade, and none more so than Captain America. It’s been revealed this week that his Infinity War suit originally looked quite different to the one he would eventually end up…

It was great to see The Walking Dead making a long-awaited return to form with last week’s killer episode. The tension and anguish on display in this season’s fifth installment harked back to the show’s good old days, as fans waited to see how Andrew Lincoln would give his final appearance as tormented ex-sheriff Rick Grimes. But whilst the show-runners can be praised for how they handled Rick’s departure, the circumstances in which another character has left the show leave a great deal to be desired.  Production recently started on ABC’s new project, Whisky Cavalier, a drama that will focus…

After nine L-O-N-G seasons of death and destruction, you can count on one hand the number of original cast members who  are still knocking around in The Walking Dead. Which makes the decision to write out main character Rick Grimes in this week’s episode kind of a big thing. But it now transpires that just because Andrew Lincoln has left the TV show, we haven’t seen the end of Rick’s story, with the announcement that the Walker-Verse is now heading to the big screen…. TWD is very much a tale of two extremes. The first is the runaway success story…

Bullseye wasn’t the only new character to show up in Season 3, however, and one of the other new arrivals may just be the…

Traditionally, internet users on the hunt for incest pics would be directed to an appropriately-themed website most likely ending with the word ‘hub’ in it’s title. In a very wrong kind of way. That’s right, the Hype Engine for Game of Thrones has now been kick-started again. EW are providing fans with their first look at the show’s showstopper final season. The latest…

With the unexpected and saddening decision by Netflix to snap their fingers in a similar manner to a certain Mad Titan, causing the solo shows of both Luke Cage and Danny Rand to disappear, fans of The Defenders are right to be worried. Not if The Kingpin has anything to say about it…. It’s long been believed that a Netflix…
