Say what you want about Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice as a film, but I think most of us can agree that the film looked great. Aside from those that will complain about the Snyder films being ‘too dark’, the cinematography in BvS was pretty good. Larry Fong, the man behind the look of that film (and many other great looking films), didn’t return for Justice League, but offered up some pretty high praise for the film’s new cinematographer, going as far as saying what he’s seen of the film is ‘amazing’: Dry your eyes! Fabian Wagner is amazingly…

Spider-Man: Homecoming is currently in theaters, and pretty much everyone can agree – it was the best Spider-Man film to date. Not to hate on the Tobey Maguire films, but, they really only offer up nostalgia at this point. Tom Holland’s Spider-Man also unquestionably had the coolest on-screen costume to date – but it could have been a lot different. Concept Artist Ryan Meinerding revealed the following design on his Twitter, and it’s pretty interesting: I did a lot of designs for the new #SpiderManHomecoming suit. Here’s an unused one based on #superiorspiderman by @DanSlott and @RyanStegman pic.twitter.com/jLiXY7XtYG — Ryan…
After District 9, director Neill Blomkamp made a couple of films that were met with a mixed reception. Elysium, which I personally enjoyed, currently boasts a 67% on Rotten Tomatoes, and a 6.6 out of 10 on IMDb. While that is still pretty good, most were expecting more in the director’s follow-up. 2015’s Chappie did fair nearly as well, scoring a 32% on Rotten Tomatoes, but had a higher rating among IMDb users. Obviously, Rotten Tomatoes and fans can have their disagreements, just look at Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. It turns out, however, that Blomkamp actually still wants…
With the rumor that Dwayne Johnson’s Black Adam wouldn’t be appearing in the upcoming solo Shazam movie, it got us thinking back to an alleged ‘leak’ a few months back. Now, take this with a grain of salt, but it does add up. Per the leak: Firstly, Black Adam will be the main villain in Man of Steel 2. The idea was tossed around of possibly making an appearance in the sequel, even if it was only brief. This later evolved into Adam becoming the villain due to the fact WB did not feel confident in the early drafts of…
Shazam is a DC film that we’ve heard a lot about for some time now, but nothing has really happened with it, aside from Dwayne Johnson, who plays The DCEU’s Black Adam, giving a few teases here and there. Back in April, The Rock said the following: “[What] we decided to do was to create a scenario where Black Adam has his stand-alone movie, and Captain Marvel, Shazam, has his stand-alone movie. We’re building our world that way, and then we can come together at some point.” According to Umberto Gonzalez, though, he won’t be in the Shazam movie at…
Oh, hi Mark! I’m sure most of you have already heard this line or seen it referenced somewhere, but if you haven’t, you have a little catching up to do. A film called ‘The Room’ was made back in 2003 and was written and directed by Tommy Wiseau. He also starred in it. What ended up coming out of that? Quite possibly the worst movie ever made. In case you haven’t seen any of it, brace yourselves for some of the worst filmmaking ever: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2NOlzW8hx5A Well, the movie spawned a cult following, so much so that a movie has been…
The upcoming solo Venom film from Sony has been getting quite a bit of buzz as of late. Whether that buzz has been good or bad will ultimately be decided when the film hits theaters next year. Though the film will be set outside of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, I personally still have high hopes for it, given that it has Tom Hardy, will feature Carnage and will sport an R-Rating. One interesting thing to note, however, is that the working title could hint at a pretty big change for the main character. According to a new report from Omega…
The new trailer for the long awaited sequel to the cult classic film Blade Runner – Blade Runner 2049 is here – and fans are sure to be even more excited. Check it out below: https://youtu.be/dZOaI_Fn5o4 Producer Ridley Scott is interested in expanding the franchise like Alien: “Yes. I think that, you know what, George has always proved that. Of course there’s always something. George Lucas. You know, and the way he’s handled Star Wars has been spectacular. It’s what I’ve been trying to do to really evolve Alien, because in those days I wasn’t into making sequels, but now…
HBO has revealed the first look at Al Pacino as former Penn State University Football head coach Joe Paterno from their upcoming film which is reportedly titled, Happy Valley. The plot is reported to be the following: “The film centers on Joe Paterno, who, after becoming the winningest coach in college football history, is embroiled in Penn State’s Jerry Sandusky sexual abuse scandal, challenging his legacy and forcing him to face questions of institutional failure regarding the victims.” Here’s the first picture: And Paterno himself for comparison: For those of you unfamiliar with the story, it’s very dark and disturbing. Joe…
Footage from Avengers: Infinity War was revealed this weekend at Disney’s D-23 expo and apparently, it was insane (more details below). It’s definitely one of the most anticipated comic book films of all time, and now, it appears we may have our first look at Tom Holland’s Spider-Man in the upcoming film. Obviously, this isn’t confirmation that the photo is even from Avengers: Infinity War – but the scene wasn’t in Spider-Man: Homecoming. ScreenRant notes, however, that Spider-Man ‘rocks the Iron Spider outfit’ in the trailer. As for the insane footage we mentioned earlier in the article, here’s what was…
