The Predator hit theaters last weekend, and for those of you who watched it, you know that something was definitely up with the final act/ending. The film (in my opinion) wasn’t as awful as many people are saying it was, as I thought it was enjoyable for the most part. It’s a Predator movie, not an Oscar contender. That’s not to say that the movie didn’t have its problems, though, as evident in the very rushed third part of the movie, and ending which only served to set up a sequel. Obvious spoilers follow. The script for The Predator, written…

The release of the new Halloween movie is almost upon us, so don’t expect marketing to slow down – expect the opposite. Although, the film doesn’t really need much marketing, as the franchise is already beloved, and basically sells itself on its name. Still though, it’s cool to see all this new footage. The latest, though, features Michael Myers without his mask on – something that will undoubtedly have horror fans talking. The last time we saw the character without his mask on was in Rob Zombie’s Halloween II back in 2009, though many of us choose to forget that…

Disney is in the midst of completely acquiring 20th Century FOX, which will give them the rights to many new properties, including the X-Men. While some seem to think that there’s a possibility they let the X-Men stay under the FOX banner and not bring them into the MCU – this is not the case. I’m not even sure why anyone thinks that is the case. A recent interview with Disney’s Bob Iger seemingly squashed this possibility. While speaking to THR, Iger was asked about Kevin Feige taking over the mutants, and said: “I think it only makes sense. I…

We have our first look at the upcoming Child’s Play reboot – including at the new Chucky. Well, we don’t know if it’s going to be named Chucky or not (it probably will be), so we can just refer to it as the new Good Guy doll. It looks pretty much exactly the same as the old one, but is said to have genetic enhancements in the new film. The press release from MGM and Orion that followed read: MGM and Orion Pictures present the First Look for CHILD’S PLAY.   Lars Klevberg (Polaroid) directs from Tyler Burton Smith’s (Kung Fury,…

Fans have anxiously been awaiting the return of Marvel’s Daredevil, especially after how things turned out in Defenders. There hasn’t really been much revealed aside from a few teasers here and there, but now, we have a new teaser – and it reveals that the show will return in October! The Predator hit theaters this past weekend, and while it was the #1 film at the box office, things weren’t exactly great. It made $24.6 million domestically, with $30 million overseas – which isn’t really a bad haul – until you realize the film’s budget was noticeably higher than the other films in the franchise at $88 million. For example, Predators (2010) had an almost identical opening at $24.7 million, but was budgeted at $40 million and made $127 million worldwide. Had this film featured a budget in that range, it would be looking at a profit. The new film, however,…

In a very interesting move for Disney’s upcoming streaming service, it’s been revealed that Loki, Scarlet Witch and other Marvel Characters are getting their own TV series on the platform. It’s big news, and definitely surprising, as it was assumed that any shows that would be produced on the platform would be something new – and not already established MCU characters. According to the Variety report: Disney is enlisting Earth’s Mightiest Heroes as the company prepares to launch its upcoming streaming service. The entertainment giant is in early development on an ambitious plan for a number of limited series centered on…

Captain Marvel saw its first trailer released today, and MCU fans couldn’t more excited. The trailer was great and didn’t really give away much of anything like most trailers seem to do these days. Marvel fans are on board (for the most part), as seen by some of the initial reactions: CORPS IM STILL SPEACHLESS! IM JUST WATCHING THE TRAILER AGAIN AND AGAIN #CaptainMarvel — Captain Marvel News ︽✵︽ (@CaptMarvelNews) September 18, 2018 IM NOT READY #CaptainMarvel pic.twitter.com/a2nRINPFiO — a tony stark supremacist (@tonystankstan) September 18, 2018 EVERY LITTLE GIRL FLIES. 😭 #CaptainMarvel pic.twitter.com/iIgpm9D4JM — Andrea Towers (@_atowers) September 18,…

The Captain Marvel trailer is finally here! After a wait that seemed like forever, MCU fans finally have what they’ve been asking for – and it definitely didn’t disappoint. The Brie Larson starring movie will be even more anticipated after this trailer, which is no surprise given Marvel’s great history of epic trailers that deliver. We were just given a first look at the film earlier this month, which revealed quite a bit – but obviously not as much as the trailer just did. Captain Marvel was originally supposed to debut in Avengers: Infinity War, but co-writer Christopher Markus revealed…

Earlier today, the Defenders Facebook page was changed to NX, which is a brand that Netflix plans on ushering in as their geek-friendly division of content. Yes, rather than leaving the Defenders Facebook page the way it was, they completely rebranded it to promote new content that people who follow the page don’t necessarily want to see. The comments section is full of backlash, prompting the company to (sort of) release a statement: Which prompted more backlash, as seen by a sample of some of the comments: Twitter also had a similar message: Watch to the end, trust me. pic.twitter.com/khCvqfvx4o…
