Canada’s 2016 Fan Expo marked many events: the last Canadian appearance of the duo Adam West and Burt Ward, the last convention of comic legend Stan Lee, and surprisingly, a very rare panel appearance of reuniting Batman: The Animated Series stars Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill. Many fans (including yours truly) waited upon hours for the experience to witness two iconic childhood legends sit next to each other, talking about their history together, behind the scenes on the different collaborations, and the exchange of many jokes (even a The Killing Joke talk, to be fair). One of the final questions asked was whether…

The Punisher starring Thomas Jane is by no means a perfect film. It’s got a lot of sidetracking and mixed tones, some mucky scripting included, but it was a film that tried to be something more than just the typical comic book film. I have a real soft spot for the kind of soul they put into Frank Castle’s portrayal, which I felt made his film incarnation something more progressive than most of the comics could have made at the time, and it was really one of the first introductions I ever got to the character properly. Thomas Jane truly…

With Suicide Squad and Justice League being the two biggest DC titles circling the silver screen and superhero movie news, it seems the comics have decided to make their own contribution to the two teams, with a cutthroat face-off being the words on the ink. The Wall Street Journal has revealed details that DC Comics are creating their six-issue weekly miniseries entitled “Justice League vs. Suicide Squad”, crossing over the two assembled lineups of good and just against bad and ugly (inside and maybe out, some can be beautiful). It will center around Batman shutting down the Suicide Squad, it being…

Comic books and Hollywood are usually a big button for insta-cash in the entertainment business. Creative differences can sometimes take effect, while others are more faithful adaptations, but as long as a product is made for the people and they love it – it’s good for both sides. Sometimes, however, a serious blunder of typical film producer money grab schemes becomes a bit too obvious of the business than an actual art of the product. There are too many safety routes, people to please, and with this day and age, a huge concern to have connected universes of every character…

After the heinous results of the last installment of 2011 Green Lantern film with Ryan Reynolds (which he at least redeemed recently as the Merc with a Mouth this year), there has been much question of how the Green Lantern namesake will be represented for the better in the DC Cinematic Universe. The circling buzz is the Green Lantern Corps film will base its story line off the Sinestro Corps War comic run, which was written by Dave Gibbons and acting president of DC Entertainment, Geoff Johns. From the 4Chan post, it appears the main villain of the story will…

With the production of a Deadpool 2 in early development, fans are already thrilled to the strong rumor that Mackenzie Davis (The Martian, Halt and Catch Fire) may be up for grabs as the mutant Domino, even with fan-art already out of this dream casting. However, how close are they to the real thing? An interview with GQ stated otherwise: No! [laughs] It’s very interesting. People keep sending me printouts being like, “This is so cool!” And I’m like, “Right? I also think it’s cool! But it’s not true! I mean. I’d love to keep the ruse going. It’s sort…

Boss Logic has done it again with another “what if” recreation, this time of the fabled Red Hulk. Set to appear alongside the Iron Spider, Thunderbolt Ross (William Hurt) was originally written in to the story of Captain America: Civil War, intended to appear as the Red Hulk. Unfortunately for fans, that part of the draft was cut out, but at least we now have an idea what he could have looked like in the film (or perhaps in a future installment): In June of last year, Hurt spoke about playing Red Hulk: “It’s very different from the Hulk. The style…

Just when you thought the recent reveal of Captain America: Civil War’s deleted and behind the scenes features wasn’t enough for Marvel fans, Buzzfeed actually contributed something further, that being the bloopers of the cast on set. You can clearly tell there was a fun vibe in the working process despite the darker turn of events in the film, from a Cap and Tony dance-off (featuring Bucky’s leg) that rivals that of Star Lord’s to some real language barriers killed by Cap. You can view it all down in the video below: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jS7r6wTvgJk&feature=youtu.be Political pressure mounts to install a system…

Chances are high-resolution shots will be available eventually, but at…
