I'm a guy who watches too many movies.

The newly released concept art book The Art of Star Wars: The Last Jedi continues to be a gold mine for Star Wars related speculation. A new picture has hit the internet that shows a big change to the physical appearance of the character of Kylo Ren. Whereas Adam Driver rocked the long emo hairstyle in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, concept art from The Art of Star Wars: The Last Jedi shows that Disney was kicking around the idea of making him bald for Star Wars: The Last Jedi. His trademark black hoodie is also absent having been replaced by a cape. Kylo Ren Almost Rocked…

As Star Wars fans know, series creator George Lucas wrote a treatment for a new Star Wars trilogy prior to Disney acquiring the franchise in 2013. Ultimately, director JJ Abrams scraped Lucas’ ideas and went on to make Star Wars: The Force Awakens as we know it today. While George Lucas’ vision has a zero percent chance of hitting theaters these days, a new book The Art of Star Wars: The Last Jedi provides a glimpse into what might have been if the Mouse House had let him have his way. The idea Lucas had involved Luke Skywalker (30 years after Return of the Jedi…

I hope that you like these live action remakes of animated Disney movies because they sure aren’t going anywhere. Remakes of The Lion King and Aladdin are on their way and their remake of Mulan has just found its leading lady (good grief, Disney. That one isn’t even 20 years old yet). After a year long search in which casting directors traveled five continents and met with over one thousand candidates, Disney has cast Chinese actress Liu Yifei (also known as Crystal Liu) as Mulan, according to a new report from THR. I’m not sure how popular she is in her native China (she has appeared…

Love him or hate him, Ridley Scott is one efficient filmmaker. Following accusations that Kevin Spacey made inappropriate sexual advances to as many as 15 men (including Star Trek: Discovery actor Anthony Rapp when Rapp was 14), Sony Pictures Entertainment elected to remove Spacey entirely from their upcoming Ridley Scott directed film All the Money in the World and replace him with Christopher Plummer. The trouble was that when the disturbing allegations surfaced earlier this month, the film was a mere month and a half away from its release date. If getting the cast and crew of a major Hollywood blockbuster back together last…

I know everyone was counting off the minutes till doomsday when we heard that Disney was discussing buying 21st Century Fox last week. Since Mickey Mouse already has his furry, disease ridden hands on the Marvel Cinematic Universe and Star Wars, acquiring the properties of Fox would bring him one more step closer to his inevitable world takeover. While the Mouse House is still in the running to close this deal, it’s becoming clear that it’s not a sure thing Disney’s competitors Universal and Sony have thrown their hats in the ring. Per THR: Now it’s Sony Pictures that wants…

I don’t know about you, but I’m looking forward to this one! Ant-Man was one of the most enjoyable films to come out of the Marvel Cinematic Universe recently largely due to its inventive action scenes and…

For all of the macho posturing in the Fast and Furious films, the actors sure seem to behave like a bunch of children. I didn’t care enough to pay attention, but there seemed to be some kind of petty feud between Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Vin Diesel earlier this year in which Johnson called Diesel a “candy ass” and a “chickens***”. I would assume those two worked it out since they went and promoted The Fate of the Furious together and seemed to be in good spirits. It now appears there could be some trouble behind the scenes of Fast and Furious 9.…

By now just about all of us have seen Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (and if you haven’t, you should get on that since it was one of the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s finest yet) so we might as well take a look at some of the behind the scenes footage. Framestore -the team responsible for over 600 VFX shots in the film- has just released a YouTube video that breaks down the process of creating the CGI characters Groot and Rocket Raccoon. Normally, this wouldn’t be the kind of thing that we’d deem newsworthy except for the fact that the unfinished…

Season One of Marvel’s Inhumans may in fact be Season Only of Marvel’s Inhumans. This news came to us when we learned (via RenewCancelTV) that the promotional material is now billing the upcoming season of the show as “the complete series.” Update: ABC reached out to us to clarify that the show hasn’t been cancelled. This shouldn’t come as a surprise to most of us considering that Inhumans is the worst received Marvel cinematic/television offering since… well… ever. The show has an absolutely terrible rating on Rotten Tomatoes with critics saying things like: “If you want thoughtful writing and production value worthy of the Marvel name,…
