One of the biggest surprise successes of 2018 was The Meg, which opened late summer and took a big bite out of the box office. Stephen King already enjoyed a career as a literary giant, but his content is now enjoying a second life on the big and small screen. While Avengers: Endgame is being hyped by fans as the buildup of over a decade of hype, it also marks a major turning point for the Marvel brand. While there have been several great Spider-Man movies, no other actor has quite played the part like Tobey Maguire.
