While Captain Marvel is the most profitable film of the year, Jordan Peele’s Us would probably earn the title of most noteworthy. Scoring an impressive 95% rating on Rotten Tomatoes along with a record-breaking 71.1 million, the film reached audiences with its alluring mixture of thrills and dynamic performances. With fans counting the seconds until the release of Avengers: Endgame, fans are still left in a state of shock and awe from the Avengers: Infinity War ending. When it comes to horror, no one can match the stature of producer Jason Blum. Whether its being nominated for Oscars or producing several successful franchises, Blum has proven himself to be a versatile, yet artistically-driven producer who has helped jumpstart many great projects. Ben Affleck has had an eventful 2019 so far. With the success of It and strong early reviews of Pet Semetary, it seems that Stephen King adaptations are all the rage today. The Disney and Fox merger has been a long time coming, but the deal became official earlier this week. This is a game-changing move in the industry, one that will likely shake-up both studios significantly as they look towards the future.
