Eternals are set to really show what the galactic side of the Marvel has in store for audience members. For the non-comic book initiated, Guardians of Galaxy Vol. 1 and Vol. 2, Captain Marvel, and some of the Thor movies have only dipped a toe in the large ocean of intergalactic stories from Marvel. Eternals, which is set to be released this year, is hoping to introduce MCU fans to that universe and widen the diversity of characters to better reflect our own world. Last year’s D23 introduced concept art to the general public and even made some big announcements…

Mike Flanagan’s The Haunting of Hill House was an unexpected hit when released on Netflix. You couldn’t get away from the series like it was a tormenting ghost that keeps popping up in your peripheral vision. Midnight Mass will contain seven-episode…

I’ll be honest with you, the reader. I was not a fan of Honey, I Shrunk the Kids and repeated those feelings towards the sequel when they first came out. However, I am a fan of Rick Moranis and his other past works. That being said, I am glad that the actor is reportedly in the talks of appearing in the Honey, I Shrunk the Kids reboot from Disney. The actor/comedy has been retired from acting for over 20 years. Moranis is more commonly known from the Honey, I Shrunk the Kids movies and Ghostbusters but everyone reading this should…

It’s always great news to hear when one of your favorite directors has a successful film that might lead to a franchise. What makes it even better? The fact that it started with original material that isn’t part of some other IP. Case in point goes to Rian Johnson and his widely successful whodunit film, Knives Out. Knives Out was released back in the distant past of 2019 and was Johnson’s first film after the successful Star Wars: The Last Jedi—it may a ton of money at the box office if you’re choosing to forget. Knives Out had a very,…

I know what you’re probably thinking, “What the f&*k is a Turbo Kid?” Well, for those that are not in the know. Turbo Kid is a bonkers independent dystopian sci-fi movie released in 2015. The movie was a cross between an “A Boy And His Dog, “Hobo With A shotgun”, the 80’s era, and blended with cheap Red Bull. The movie garnered a strong cult following and is occasionally screened at independent theaters during the midnight hour. The story followed a comic book fan that adopts the persona of his favorite hero named Turbo Rider. What happens later is a…

Nicolas Cage is a national treasure. The man doesn’t stop shelling out movie after movie (despite the quality) but the guy has had a strong following for most of his career. He’s gotten to a status in his acting that audience members expect a certain level of insanity in his movies. Some of them can be bonkers gold like Mandy, Bad Lieutenant, and Mom and Dad or they can be coal duds like A Score to Settle, Color Out Of Space, or Between Worlds. Whatever your opinion is on the man, the myth, the legend, you have to give the…

David Bowie and his legacy have been felt by many people across this dimeson and to more that we have yet to discover. Popular songs like “Life on Mars”, “Let’s Dance”, “Heroes”, and “Space Oddity” are just some of the great hits played over the airwaves that have influenced people in music and film. The day that the legendary rock star died was a heavy day among fans and was a rough way to start off the year of 2016. You can say that it might’ve caused a butterfly effect that led writer and director Liz Manashil on a course…

Birds of Prey (And The Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) is a long title for a movie that’s pretty much a Harley Quinn story. Let’s be real on this topic. The character was an original creation back in the 90’s when Batman: The Animated Series had a successful run on Fox. The character has been added to DC’s comic lineup and her popularity has only grown from there. Margot Robbie’s portrayal of the character in Suicide Squad was about the only good thing that came from that movie and the WB’s move for a spin-off was a desperate move.…
