The Punisher was cancelled this week by Netflix, and while fans were pretty upset, none were really surprised, considering the other Marvel Netflix shows were cancelled as well. It turns out one pretty notable pop culture figure was really upset – and it’s none other than Eminem, who took to Twitter to call out the streaming giant. DEAR @NETFLIX, REGARDING YOUR CANCELLATION OF THE PUNISHER, YOU ARE BLOWING IT!! SINCERELY, MARSHALL — Marshall Mathers (@Eminem) February 21, 2019 It didn’t take long for cast members of the show to thank Eminem: I guess this means @Eminem watches our show. I…

Captain Marvel will be released in a little over two weeks, and with that, the first reactions for the upcoming MCU movie have hit the internet. It’s important to point out that these are not the first reviews, which will come at a later point. The first reactions are pretty positive – but were you honestly expecting anything different? Captain Marvel is a blast! Has some cool surprises that I definitely didn’t see coming, and the mystery/origin it weaves is engaging and fun. Brie Larson is awesome, and makes a fantastic first step into the MCU #CaptainMarvel pic.twitter.com/oqrRtgDQrp — Eric…

In some pretty random news, it looks like we’ll be getting a Hulk Hogan biopic starring Chris Hemsworth and directed by Todd Phillips. This will be quite a different role for Hemsworth, but one we’re sure he can pull off based on his previous body of work. The news comes from THR, who writes: Chris Hemsworth will star as wrestling superstar Hulk Hogan in a biopic that reunites Todd Phillips with Scott Silver, the respective director and writer of the upcoming DC Comics movie, The Joker. Deals for the Hogan project are in the midst of closing with Netflix. Producing will…

Yesterday, a report broke that Batman would be played by Armie Hammer in future films, and the internet reacted pretty positively to that idea. Since Ben Affleck retired from the role, fans have been anxiously awaiting the reveal of who would be replacing him – and it appears they’ll have to wait even longer, as this rumor has been debunked by numerous reporters – and Hammer himself. I’m not in the business of debunking bunk but considering everyone got in a tizzy over this…there is no truth to the below. Being told there haven’t even been any actor meetings for…

Update: According to multiple sources, Armie Hammer is NOT going to be the new Batman. This story remains as written before. The Batman role was officially retired by Ben Affleck this week, but it appears that Warner Bros. knew who they wanted to replace the actor all along. The replacement comes in actor Armie Hammer, who was actually going to play the character in George Miller’s cancelled Justice League movie back in 2009. The report comes from Revenge of the Fans, who writes: On Friday, as everyone was heading home for the holiday weekend, I received word that Warner Bros.…

Earlier today, the last of the remaining Marvel Netflix shows in The Punisher and Jessica Jones were officially cancelled. After Daredevil, Luke Cage and Iron Fist got the axe, pretty much everyone saw this coming. What everyone is wondering now, however, is if these shows have a chance of coming back – and it appears that they definitely do. While speaking to Decider, Loeb was asked about the possibility of the Marvel Netflix shows returning, and said: “I would not be surprised if any of those things reemerged. It depends on showrunner, it depends on availability of cast, all of…

The Punisher and Jessica Jones have both been cancelled by Netflix, in sad but not surprising news. Daredevil, Luke Cage and Iron Fist were all cancelled by the streaming giant, and the remaining two shows were also expected to be cancelled, due to Netflix not wanting to partner up with what they now consider a strong competitor in Disney. The official report comes from Deadline, who had a statement from Netflix: “Marvel’s The Punisher will not return for a third season on Netflix. Showrunner Steve Lightfoot, the terrific crew, and exceptional cast including star Jon Bernthal, delivered an acclaimed and…

Captain Marvel comes out in less than a month’s time, and with any big movie comes the press tour. It appears that this press tour comes with some guidelines from the film’s star, Brie Larson, who recently said she wants the press tour to be more diverse. In a recent interview with Marie Claire, the actress said: “About a year ago, I started paying attention to what my press days looked like and the critics reviewing movies, and noticed it appeared to be overwhelmingly white male. So, I spoke to
Dr Stacy Smith at the USC Annenberg Inclusion Initiative, who…

If you’re a fan of the Marvel Netflix shows, it’s a pretty sad time for you right now. Daredevil, Luke Cage and Iron Fist have all been cancelled – and The Punisher and Jessica Jones are likely to soon follow. The shows seemed to go way too soon (except Iron Fist, right?) and that’s because Netflix now views Disney as a competitor with their new streaming service launching. Some have said they expect the shows to resurface on Disney Plus, but I’ve always personally thought Hulu was a better option, and it appears that may be a possibility! While speaking…

The Curse of La Llorona is a pretty highly anticipated upcoming horror movie featuring The Weeping Woman, and fans of the genre are definitely looking to be scared out of the minds when watching it. Check out the new trailer below: As always, some reaction to the trailer: When are they gonna make a horror movie based on the REAL scariest thing in the latinx culture? pic.twitter.com/hRVVCLpNe5 — luis #There’sNoSnyderCut (@luisoncaffeine)…
