While the new Halloween movie is getting plenty of great reviews, there were a few people who didn’t enjoy the movie, which is fine, movies are obviously subjective. But if you go into a movie and review it simply based on how feminist it is, or something along those lines, you may end up being disappointed. You might find it odd that we’re saying that about this particular movie, considering Jamie Lee Curtis’s Laurie Strode is a strong and empowered female character and also happens to be the lead in this movie, but one early review of the film was…

The new Halloween movie hits theaters this week, and with that, the early reviews are here. There were some released after an early screening in August, but now they’re all here – and they suggest a great return for the franchise, as it looks to be the highest reviewed entry in the franchise since the original. The Rotten Tomatoes Critics’ Consensus reads: Halloween largely wipes the slate clean after decades of disappointing sequels, ignoring increasingly elaborate mythology in favor of basic – yet still effective – ingredients. As it currently stands, there are 65 good reviews, and 11 bad ones. Here…
Marvel’s Iron Fist has officially been cancelled by Netflix after only two seasons. The show’s first season had terrible reviews, and while the second season was perceived better, it appears that Season 1 really shut viewers off of ever tuning back in again. Maybe the prospect of hearing Danny Rand tell everyone he was the Immortal Iron Fist multiple times just wasn’t intriguing enough. Disney and Netflix released a joint statement last night through Deadline, which reads: “Marvel’s Iron Fist will not return for a third season on Netflix. Everyone at Marvel Television and Netflix is proud of the series and grateful…
The upcoming Glass movie from M. Night Shyamalan saw its first trailer released at San Diego Comic Con in July, and now, we have an even more in-depth look at the film starring James McAvoy, Bruce Willis and Samuel L. Jackson in the latest trailer. If fans of the first film weren’t excited before, there’s no way they won’t be after seeing the latest trailer. Check out the explosive new trailer below: Some fan reaction to the trailer: Mr Glass’s world of comic books continue to unfold. Following the news that Suicide Squad 2 will be written and directed by James Gunn, it’s fair to say that we won’t be seeing Jared Leto’s Joker in the upcoming film, due to the history between the two. Earlier this year, Gunn actually implied that Leto was a pedophile in a tweet: He starts at 18 on the Internet? — James Gunn (@JamesGunn) May 16, 2018 He had also said something back in 2012: Driving home from Vegas trading stories about what a dick Jared Leto is. — James Gunn (@JamesGunn) July 1, 2012 Gunn was famously fired by Disney…
The movie remake of Pet Sematary, based on the very popular Stephen King novel is almost here. We were recently given a first look at the film, and now the first trailer is finally here. It has a creepy vibe and doesn’t give too much away at all. A little fan reaction: I don’t wanna be buried there… — Earbud Theater (@Earbudtheater) October 10, 2018 pic.twitter.com/k0U3YZMFWq — Niggeruto Uzublockmi (@CruddyGod) October 10, 2018 Looks bad. Why are they adding so many extra elements that aren’t in the book to try and ramp it up? The original movie didn’t extra bullshit…
Alien is the type of property that could easily have a TV series, and enough fans for it to be successful. Though the Box Office of the recent films hasn’t been “Blockbuster” worthy, it still makes a pretty good amount of money. Alien: Covenant left a sour taste in some fans’ mouths, so it’s not exactly a surprise that a TV series has been rumored. Back in July, the series was rumored to be in development, and now, a new report suggests that it’s been picked up by a streaming service. The report comes from Mr. H Reviews, who says…
Sony’s Venom movie finally hit theaters this past week, and while critics panned the film, fans seemed to have enjoyed it, and it made a ton of money at the box office its opening weekend. That doesn’t mean that the road to getting the film we received was easy though, as a new rumor suggests Tom Hardy got so upset at one point during filming, he had to leave the set. According to Daily Mail (take it with a grain of salt), Actor Tom Hardy stormed off set after exploding with fury over the script for his latest movie Venom,…
When it was first announced that Ruby Rose would be playing Batwoman, some “fans” complained about it, prompting Ruby Rose to leave social media due to the “backlash”. Of course, the backlash was over some very silly reasons, so we can’t really take it that serious. The first look at the character has now been revealed, and the reaction seems to be mixed from what I can see. Reaction: it looks like a Halloween outfit — Saberspark (@Saberspark) October 9, 2018 It looks like Poison Ivy and Batman had a baby and came up with this. — GrimmlingGoddess (@helping_in_need) October…
Avengers 4 will show us the fate of Tony Stark – AKA Iron Man, following the dramatic events of Avengers: Infinity War. If there’s one thing MCU fans have learned over the years, it’s to never count Stark out of anything. If he has any type of chance, he will find a way to win. His new suit is an indicator of that, and it’s very cool – but we all probably expected that, right?
