Movie buff, animal lover, and avid reader. :D

By now, we’ve all seen the incredible trailer for Logan, Hugh Jackman’s final outing as Wolverine. But what you probably haven’t seen yet is YouTube user Phillysteak’s mashup trailer, combining the audio from Logan with scenes from the classic 90’s X-Men cartoon, as well as X-Men Evolution. Old Man Logan, X-23, a future with no X-Men, Logan being hunted like an animal – it’s all there. And of course, Johnny Cash’s haunting version of the Nine Inch Nails classic “Hurt” makes just about anything seem to rise to another level. It’s amazing how well the footage fits the tone of…

Just in case there’s anyone on earth who didn’t watch it live last night, AMC has released The Walking Dead’s heart-wrenching season 7 premiere to be viewed online. We’ve spent 6 months in a state of dreadful anticipation, waiting to find out (but not really wanting to know) who Negan decided to kill as an example to Rick’s group. I won’t spoil it for you, but I will say this: no matter how prepared you think you are……….trust me, you’re not. (I’ve watched every episode of this series live, and this is the first one that ever made me cry.)…

It’s been a roller coaster of a weekend for comic and CBM fans. Legendary artist Steve Dillon, whose incredible resume included the Judge Dredd, Constantine, Preacher, and Punisher comics, passed away at the age of 54. Then, AT&T set out to purchase Time Warner, which includes DC Films. This could likely have a huge impact on the DC film universe. Finally, on Saturday, news broke that Tim Miller, director of the massive hit Deadpool, has quit the sequel over creative differences with its star, Ryan Reynolds. (The point of contention was said to be the casting of Cable, so let’s…

We told you earlier today that director Tim Miller has officially walked away from the sequel to the superhero smash Deadpool. Reportedly, the problem was friction with star Ryan Reynolds, over differences of opinion on who should play the massive time-traveling mutant Cable. Miller wanted Friday Night Lights star Kyle Chandler, while Reynolds (rightly) argued that, while talented, Chandler is completely wrong for the part. And now, it seems that this wasn’t the only point of contention between the two. This morning, before news of Miller’s departure broke, Ryan Reynolds (the king of all smartasses) posted a sarcastic Tweet. It…

Legendary Pictures announced yesterday that two screenwriters, Michael Dougherty and Zach Shields, will be working together to write the Godzilla 2 script. Goldberg is officially back, and ready to kick ass. Twelve years after walking away from the WWE forever (or so we thought), the man who always asked “Who’s Next?” gave us the answer tonight: Brock Lesnar. The monosyllabic Lesnar, who uses Paul Heyman as his mouthpiece (because, you know, words), issued a challenge to Goldberg through his vociferous advocate last week on Raw. After coming out to a massive ovation from the crowd (gotta love it when the “holy shit” chant gets going), complete with his trademark spark shower and menacing smoke-breath, Goldberg proceeded to tell us what we…

With a new Power Rangers film on the way, and Voltron’s resurrection on Netflix, we thought you might enjoy this awesome fan-created video, which shows the Voltron Force going toe-to-toe with the Power Rangers’ Megazord. This was clearly done in the spirit of good fun, as evidenced by the spoof-like dialogue and the presence of hilarious YouTube stars like Austin Watson (aka WWE’s Xavier Woods). However, the fight itself is all business, with the two massive robots kicking ass in orbit. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HNIyztmU8dk Who do you think should win this mechanical smackdown? Watch the video, and tell us your thoughts!

Before we all knew what a mess it would become, the role of Hal Jordan, aka DC superhero Green Lantern, was a coveted part among the 30something pretty boys of Hollywood. Names on the shortlist reportedly included Ryan Reynolds, Justin Timberlake, Bradley Cooper, and future DCU Joker Jared Leto. Reynolds, of course, ended up winning the part. Timberlake and Cooper have both admitted to losing out on the role, but Leto has never mentioned it one way or the other. https://twitter.com/Borys_Kit/status/787141853988528128 But on Friday night, at the 30th annual American Cinematheque Awards, Bradley Cooper was a presenter. Before handing the…

I should start off by admitting my bias. I’m a total Godzilla fangirl. I collect figures, statues, posters, and pretty much anything else I can find with him on it. I even have a cat named Kaiju. That being said, however, I can still see flaws in his films when they present themselves. This movie isn’t perfect, but there are several things it gets very, very right. This is Godzilla’s 31st cinematic outing, and the first from the legendary Toho Studios (creators of the character) since 2004’s Final Wars. With so many incarnations already familiar to the moviegoing public, the…
