While the horror genre is full of vast and endless potential, there are always certain tropes that remain effective on even the most primal levels. Although it’s not the first film to feature growing horror icon Art the Clown, Terrifier was inarguably his breakout film and one that’s already being given the franchise treatment. Annabelle Comes Home makes a very interesting addition to both The Conjuring and Annabelle franchises. The movie goes back to its roots, with Ed and Lorraine Warren, and features the doll locked up at their house with all of the haunted artifacts they’ve collected and stored over the years. After the success of Rambo in 2008, I never thought we’d see Sylvester Stallone take on the role again. It was a more unbelievable task than making a sequel to Rambo III was, mostly due to Stallone’s increased age by this point.
