Geoff Johns’ Doomsday Clock has been revealed at New York Comic Con to be a direct sequel to Watchmen. The characters from Watchmen will cross over with the DC heroes, such as Superman, Barman, and The Flash. Set up in the last few panels of DC Rebirth we saw the familiar blood stained pin embedded into the wall of the batcave. This was the beginning of one of the biggest crossovers in Comic book history. It brings the characters created by Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons into the wider DC Universe. It also suggests that someone, mist likely Dr Manhattan…

Justice League director Zack Snyder took to Vero to reveal his favorite Batman this past weekend: Say what you want about Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, but one of the best things about it was Affleck’s portrayal of the Caped Crusader. But he is slightly biased seeing as Affleck is his pick for Batman. He’s up against a lot of bad interpretations of Batman too, see Val Kilmer and George Clooney. If we disregard those two and who is left? Adam West, Michael Keaton, Christian Bale to name the last 30 years of Bat-history. We also have the ever…

Gwyneth Paltrow has been talking to THR and has revealed that she along with Don Cheadle will return as Pepper Potts and War Machine. Paltrow reprised her role for a surprise cameo on Spider-Man: Homecoming earlier this year. Cheadle’s Jim ‘Rhodey’ Rhodes was last seen learning to walk after Vision shot him out of the sky in Captain America: Civil War. It’s no suprise that these two would be returning as Avengers: Infinity War and its follow up, Avengers 4, is the culmination of a decade of character development and story arcs. If they were not to show up, it just wouldn’t…

Thor: Ragnarok is speeding up on us like Mjolnir flying towards Thor’s outstretched hand. Bruce Banner and The Hulk haven’t been seen since Avengers: Age of Ultron as the character flew off into the sunset after ignoring the pleas of Black Widow. Total Film report some spoilery information about what the character has been up to. Taking cues from Marvel’s Planet Hulk storyline we find Hulk on Sakaar as the undefeted champion of Jeff Goldblum’s Grandmaster’s games. Mark Ruffalo has stated: “Hulk has loved his time on Sakaar, and why wouldn’t he? He is adored and admired. He has a hot tub in his…

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. The Marmite of DC movies. You either loved it, or hated it, and it’s no secret that there was a lot of divided opinion on the film. Why did Superman and Batman fight when their ideologies in this DCEU are so similar? Why were there so many dream sequences? But, one thing that most people, (if not all) on both sides will say is Jesse Eisenberg was totally miscast as Lex Luthor. Luthor should be calm, sophisticated, a businessman with a secret hatred towards Superman. Not Mark Zuckerberg with a floppy hair-cut. But I…

To date, (but sadly not for much longer), Netflix has had an array of Marvel properties that have been as good as, if not better than the Marvel movies. Season 2 of Marvel’s Daredevil introduced character that had already had three feature length outings, with both turning in different, yet entertaining interpretations of The Punisher. Jon Bernthal portrays Frank Castle and has been approved for his own solo series. The news today revealed that along with the solo series, we will get to see a live action Battle Van. Since 1975 in many comics, the Battle Van boasts advanced driving…

As stated in the title, this is a rumor and should be taken with a pinch of salt, so here goes. Umberto Gonzalez has revealed some news regarding the addition of a Green Lantern in Justice League. He has stated in a recent Periscope Session that the Green Lanterns will have a bigger role than was previously believed. He has said that the information has come from sources who have read Whedon’s script and said that it could still be cut. He has also debunked the idea that it will be John Stewart, Hal Jordan, Abin Sur, Tomar-Re or Kilowog. The suggestion that…

There’s just over a month until we get to head back to the Marvel Cinematic Universe with Thor: Ragnarok. We’ve had a couple of trailers showing who the major players are, including the heroes and villains. Thor (Chris Hemsworth) will be paired with The Incredible Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) on the Planet Sakaar after two years of being the Hulk. They will face off against Hela (Cate Blanchett) who is bringing Ragnarok, the destruction of Asgardian civilization. At the end of the last trailer we saw this image: Hulk flying at the giant Surtur. In my opinion it’s a bit of…
